Please Lord!

Please Lord, grant me patience during this holiday season. So many people have forgotten the true meaning of Christmas. We're so busy shopping for expensive gifts while there are people in our own country suffering. Many are hungry, penniless, homeless, & often feel hopeless. Are we doing our part as Christians? Is it not better to give to those who really need it? That's what Jesus did. He gave His life for sinners.(the one's who truly needed salvation) I pray for the children who are without. I pray for the parents that are hurting for their children. I pray for the homeless that they can see that someone DOES care. Last but not least, I pray for those who can help, but choose not to. Amen & MERRY CHRISTMAS!

The Handwriting on The Wall

A weary mother returned from the store, Lugging groceries through the kitchen door. Awaiting her arrival was her 8 year old son, Anxious to relate what his younger brother had done."While I was out playing and Dad was on a call T.J. took his crayons and wrote on the wall It's on the new paper you just hung in the den. I told him you'd be mad at having to do it again." She let out a moan and furrowed her brow,"Where is your little brother right now?" She emptied her arms and with a purposeful stride She marched to his closet where he had gone to hide. She called his full name as she entered his room. He trembled with fear - he knew that meant doom! For the next ten minutes, she ranted and raved About the expensive wallpaper, and how she had saved. Lamenting all the work it would take to repair, She condemned his actions and total lack of care The more she scolded, the madder she got, Then stomped from his room, totally distraught! She headed for the den to confirm her fears When she saw the wall, her eyes flooded with tears. The message she read pierced her soul with a dart. It said, "I love Mommy," surrounded by a heart. Well, the wallpaper remained, just as she found it, With an empty picture frame hung to surround it. A reminder to her, and indeed to all, Take time to read the handwriting on the wall.

The Little Old Lady & The Atheist

There was a little old lady who would come out every morning on the steps of her front porch, raise her arms to the sky and shout, "Praise the Lord!" Well, one day an atheist moved into the house next door. Over time, he became irritated at the little old lady. So every morning he would step out onto his front porch and yell after her, "There is no God!" Time passes with the two of them carrying on this way every day. Then one morning in the middle of winter, the little old lady stepped onto her front porch and shouted, "Praise the Lord! Lord, I have no food and I am hungry Please provide for me, oh Lord!" The next morning she stepped onto her porch and there were two huge bags of groceries sitting there. "Praise the Lord!" she cried out. "He has provided groceries for me!" The atheist jumped out of the hedges and shouted, "There s no Lord. I bought those groceries!" The little old lady threw her arms into the air and shouted, "Praise the Lord! He has provided me with groceries and He made the devil pay for them!"

Lost On Earth Ministries

Thank you so much for visiting this blog! We have all seen hard times and as each day passes, it becomes obvious that things are getting even harder. Lost On Earth Ministries is a ministry that helps spread the love of Jesus by way of feeding homeless, prayer, resource referral, or simply handing out tracts. We try in any way we can to show people that they are truly loved and that they ARE NOT abandoned. I, personally, have been through many trials and tribulations. I used to ask the Lord, "why Lord, am I going through these things"? I honestly feel that "those days" were a major part of His plan for me. Those experiences were there so that I can relate to those who have similar obstacles. We are still in the beginning stages of forming this ministry and as with everyone, finances are rather tight. I pray daily for His provisions and guidance. I believe that there is good in everyone. I believe we are not here by accident. I believe that prayer is essential, however prayer without works is futile. (and vice versa) If you need prayer, please contact me @ jwlostonearth@gmail.com. We are open to suggestions as well. If the Lord is asking you to contribute, please click the donate button located at the top of the screen. Also, contact me if you are in the Corpus Christi area and can donate time! God is good, all the time! Lets help others to see that! Your friend in Christ, Jonathan Adam Wright

THE FINAL JUDGMENT

Matthew 25: 31 “When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, then he will sit on his glorious throne. 32  Before him will be gathered all the nations, and he will separate people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. 33  And he will place the sheep on his right, but the goats on the left. 34  Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. 35  For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, 36  I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.’ 37  Then the righteous will answer him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? 38  And when did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? 39  And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?’ 40  And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’ 41 “Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. 42  For I was hungry and you gave me no food, I was thirsty and you gave me no drink, 43  I was a stranger and you did not welcome me, naked and you did not clothe me, sick and in prison and you did not visit me.’ 44  Then they also will answer, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to you?’ 45  Then he will answer them, saying,‘Truly, I say to you, as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to me.’ 46  And these will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”

Demanding the best What’s the difference between Christians and non-Christians? Christ demands the best from us. Non- Christians run through life not even knowing the difference between heaven bound and a box in the ground My life in high school included lots of religious debate, mainly with pseudo-Christians, pseudo- Buddhists, and pseudo-Jews. Obviously the reason I preface everything with pseudo is because kids would usually say, “Yeah, my parents drag me to services, but I’m not really into it.” Then they would proceed to talk about their car, girlfriend, or the latest hot movie Why is this a problem? Kids don’t take benchmarks seriously, unless it revolves around a tangible reward. Heaven is a very non-tangible reward....to kids. They can see it, but their understanding of it s usually weak, and if challenged, they cannot really explain what it is. Why is this a problem? Its the carrot. You guys have heard me talk about the carrot before. Heaven is the carrot that Christianity holds in front of the donkey (you) to get you to move that first hoof forward. Don’t take this as a knock. Its not. Its really just an accurate representation of a typical human being. As humans, we chase our food, we chase our sex, and we chase our money. Getting out of that cycle takes a really big reward, and heaven is the only one that fits the bill. Why is that? Its the best. Its the best that can be offered. There is nothing better. Perfect circumstance. Perfect existence. Perfect joy. No pain. No enemies. No nothing, except exactly what makes you happy. And yet, guess what? The best forego heaven. The best sign up for tours of duty Do you really think the most effective souls are just circling God, enjoying His warmth and love? No. They are sent out on missions. Why? They request them. They care about the cause we all work for and so they are sent to make a change in the system. What’s the system? A more accurate question s what’s not the system. Understand one thing about your time in a physical state. Understand that its short, its not yours, and you will be held accountable for how you spent it. Levels of heaven? Levels of hell? Folks....no one really knows. No one. Wipe out the chance in the equation and just do the best you possibly can. God needs the best. Be the best. Be the Jesus in the room.

Elated

Sometime I'm simply ashamed... I look around and I see so many people worse off than myself. I have zilch and often I think that's the bottom. Yet, I see people with more, yet so much less. Does that make sense? So many hearts are broken these days. I feel at times that the end MUST be near.... Maybe, this is the beginning. I wonder. I pray this day is a new start for someone... Anyone. May we reach soooooo far....... May GOD bless us all to be a loud voice! May all who hear it be encouraged. Thank YOU, JESUS for giving me eyes. Eyes that can see farther than I ever thought possible.

DO NOT CONFORM!

Romans 12:2, 19 NIV

Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God's wrath, for it is written: "It is mine to avenge; I will repay," says the Lord.

1st Blog Ever!

Hi! My name is Adam. This is my new blog. It's gonna consist of many different things. I'll be sharing daily about my life, experiences, hopes, and dreams. Also alot of misellaneous stuff. Hopefully lots of surprises! Life can be so difficult sometimes. We dont always see things for what they are. Situations can blind us to the good that really is out there. I'm the world's worst about dwelling. It's hard sometimes to find help and good people. But, trust me, they're out there. My life has been a long and treacherous one. I've been many places and have been surrounded by many walks of life. There's only one that's never left me. Can you guess whom I'm speaking of?
